What they did
It started with one automation-minded team whose results turned them into internal trainers. Now anyone can sign up: the learning team built training exercises and games, operations built a dashboard that collects SQL queries for easier data access, and marketing built event sign-up and mapping tools. Apps sit behind the company's single sign-on.
What happened
The interviewee says the biggest win is tools that save a small team a couple of hours a week, which would never be prioritized by engineering.
Keep in mind
No formal ROI tracking. The main worry is that when a tool's builder leaves, nobody knows how it works, and connecting to tools like Jira had to be built by hand.
Try it with your agent
I run <your team> and want a small internal tool for <the repeated task, for example a training quiz, an event sign-up page or a shared library of report queries>. Keep it simple, require company login, and store data in a basic database. Also write a one-page README explaining what it does, where the data lives and how to change it, so someone else can maintain it if I leave.
Replace the <angle brackets> with your own details.
