An Australian coffee roaster and cafe owner with little coding background used Replit Agent over several months to build an asset tracking and depreciation app, plus a staff rostering tool and a content calendar for the business.

What they did
The owner described each feature in plain language and kept iterating with the agent: a web front end with login, an admin dashboard, a depreciation calculator preloaded with more than 24 asset types based on local tax office rulings, and a separate content system. The rostering tool was built fully inside Replit, and the asset app was used internally before being opened to other small businesses.
What happened
The poster says the app went from buggy to working within weeks once the agent improved, and that deployment and hosting simply worked. The asset tool launched to outside beta users.
Keep in mind
Some bugs took many rounds of prompting and fixes sometimes broke other features. Edge cases such as time zones and financial year boundaries had to be spelled out explicitly.
Try it with your agent
Build a simple web app for my small business that tracks equipment we own: name, purchase date, cost basis, category and location. Calculate yearly depreciation using the rules for <your country>, and show an admin dashboard with totals by category. Add login for <number of staff> users and keep the financial year as <start month> to <end month>.
Replace the <angle brackets> with your own details.
