What they did
On Claude Desktop for Mac he added the 1Password connector and installed the Claude and 1Password Chrome extensions, then asked Claude in a Cowork session to open FreshDirect and sign in. He entered a one-time code himself in a window Claude could not see. Claude suggested ten items from his reorder list for approval, then took a barbecue chicken recipe, discussed sides and what he already had, and added the approved list to the cart.
What happened
The writer says the order went through in about five minutes for a Saturday morning delivery slot, stayed editable until the cutoff, and a receipt arrived by email.
Keep in mind
He typed the verification code himself, and the connector does not work with social logins or passkeys. He says he would not let Claude pay card bills or touch his bank account.
Try it with your agent
Open <your grocery site> and sign in using my password manager, and stop to let me enter any verification code myself. Suggest up to ten items from my past orders for me to approve. Then help me plan ingredients for <a recipe>, skipping what I already have, add the approved list to the cart, and show me the total before I confirm.
Replace the <angle brackets> with your own details.
