What they did
Each foreman used to log in, click through seven slow screens to find the right field log, export it to Excel, add formulas and compare it with a reference sheet. He built three sub-agents: one navigates the old system, filters to the right log and exports it to a set folder, one adds the formula, and one updates the result against the reference spreadsheet. It runs unattended overnight.
What happened
The consultant says the sequence now runs for 18 to 20 minutes overnight, replacing about 8 to 9 minutes of manual work per log for every foreman each day.
Keep in mind
Reported by the consultant who built it. Browser automation on legacy sites can break when screens change, and the source does not say how failures are caught.
Try it with your agent
Every night at <time>, open <your legacy system's web address> in Chrome, go to <the report or log screen>, filter to <today's date and site>, and export the file to <your exports folder>. Then add <the formula or columns you need> and compare it with <your reference spreadsheet>, writing differences to a new sheet. If any screen looks different or a step fails, stop and leave me a note instead of guessing.
Replace the <angle brackets> with your own details.
