A solo online-course business owner in Japan used Claude Code to write a small program that pulls each subscriber's next renewal date from the course platform's API, a job that would otherwise mean checking about 100 customer pages by hand.

What they did
The owner needed to contact customers on two subscription plans before their renewals, but the Thinkific export did not include renewal dates. In a few plain sentences they asked Claude Code for a program that lists subscription buyers via the Thinkific API with each person's next renewal date. When the first run showed duplicate records, they described the problem in plain language and Claude Code found the cause, rewrote the code and tested it.
What happened
The poster says their own hands-on time was about five minutes for a task that would have taken hours of manual lookup and data entry.
Keep in mind
The owner still had to run the program from a code editor and terminal, which can intimidate beginners, and the post does not cover the outreach messages themselves.
Try it with your agent
Write a small script that uses the <your course or subscription platform> API to list every customer on <plan names>, with their email and next renewal date, and save it as a CSV in <folder>. Explain how to run it step by step for a non-programmer. Check the output for duplicate customers and tell me how you handled them. Do not change any data on the platform.
Replace the <angle brackets> with your own details.
