Microsoft built Ask Microsoft, a web agent on Microsoft.com, with Copilot Studio; it answers product, pricing and support questions, adapts to the page a visitor is on, and hands off to human chat agents when needed.

What they did
The Azure product site team prototyped the agent in Copilot Studio, launched in a few weeks, then added ten more product sites at about two a week. It moved from fixed topic flows to generative orchestration, with sub-agents each grounded on one part of the site, such as Azure, Microsoft 365, pricing and trial pages, and an orchestrator that picks or combines them. Visitors can switch to a live Microsoft agent and come back, and a separate email agent follows up on abandoned carts and unfinished trial sign-ups.
What happened
Microsoft says latency fell by up to 61% on the Microsoft 365 site, human-handled chat volume dropped by up to 70%, and Azure trial starts rose 16% in similar tests.
Keep in mind
This is Microsoft describing its own deployment of its own product; most figures are best-case up to values with no method or baseline, and some features were still planned.
Try it with your agent
Build a website help agent for <your company website> that answers questions only from <your product pages, pricing page and FAQ>. Split it by topic, for example products, pricing and sign-up, and make answers shorter on checkout pages. When a visitor asks about billing disputes, account access or anything not covered, offer a handover to <your live chat or support email>. Give me 20 test questions with the expected answers before going live.
Replace the <angle brackets> with your own details.
